For a long period of time the most commonly used or followed way to get away or relieved from pain (ranging from mild to moderate) was the intake of an over the counter muscle relaxers or the consumption of other NSAIDs like ibuprofen which will start its affect as soon as it is consumed and then you will be able to carry on with your everyday life and errands. These methods are known to give short term relief from the pain but there are some new found ways which can be opted to improve the condition greatly and get relieved from the muscle pain more significantly.

You should be aware of the functioning of the NSAIDs (non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs) and you should know that any kind of general anti inflammatory drugs or muscle relaxing drugs whether it is of the over the counter variety or the prescribed variety, it will not be responsible for the healing of the source of the pain. These drugs are known to interfere with the communication process between the person's brain and the nervous system and this is not at all possible in a localized manner and these drugs have certain medical problems associated with themselves as well.

The person's complete body gets affected because of these drug's side effects. You might consume or take these medicines to get away from headaches or general muscle tensions, back pain or spasms, symptoms of fibromyalgia, etc but the effect is not contained only in the problematic region it goes far beyond the spot of the problem. There is a loss of communication between every kind of muscle (the muscles also include the muscles of the arms and the legs) and the brain. This creates a very troublesome condition of brain fog in which the person is unable to think clearly and it becomes very likely that the person might harm himself when he is doing some physical work.

Prolonged use of NSAIDs have so many side effects and after effects associated with it like the person can become prone to problems and diseases which are very dangerous and sometimes they are life threatening as well, some side effects are allergic reactions, liver problems, stomach ulcers, kidney problems, etc. The usefulness of NSAIDs cannot be ignored in the medical world but you should also try a different approach of getting relief from any kind of muscle pain which is safer and more effective than NSAIDs.
