Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Ingrowing toe nail is a fairly common condition. It needs surgery to get it removed. Now the precautions are: To keep blood glucose well controlled, with fasting < 100 mg, Pp 160 to 180 mg & HbA1c% <7. Plus while cutting the toe nails, not to go too deep and get hurt. For the present let him use the prescribed tablets and the ointment. Further should take all care and avoid injury to the leg and toes. Thanks.

Hi lybrate-user. The line may because of some injury and hemorrhage below the nails, or fungal infection or some other causes. Until we don't know the cause it will not be safe to take treatment blindly. You may consult with details of any such history of injury or some other reports with altered results.
Still you may take homoeopathic medicine
Silicea 6X tds for 1 week.

Blue fingernails are caused by a lack or low level of circulating oxygen in your red blood cells. This condition is known as cyanosis. It occurs when there isn’t enough oxygen in your blood and the skin or membrane below the skin turns a purplish-blue color. The discoloration of the skin could also represent a high level of an abnormal form of hemoglobin in the blood circulating throughout your body. Hemoglobin is the protein responsible for transfer oxygen in your blood.
