Mouth ulcers are not the symptoms of covid19. Although they can be a indication of something else. Do you have any medical conditions, are you taking any medication. Based on your description, it is possibly a vitamin b12 or folic acid deficiency. But it help to have a proper look at the exact nature of your mouth "ulcers" and the diagnosis and treatment will vary accordingly.

Eat lot of fruits & green leafy vegetables & drink plenty of water. Avoid drinking anything hot. You may need coronoplasty (smoothening of teeth edges). Most probably looks like a vitamin b2 deficiency.
But this is dust a differential.
Please upload photo of those patches.
And ask him to keep taking those multivitamin tablets. It usually takes 4-6 weeks for affect to come.
