Most wounds take 1 to 3 weeks to heal. If a large area of skin was removed, you may have a skin graft, and healing may take longer. Some soreness around the site of the wound is normal.

It depends on how long you’ve had the nose piercing. If it hasn’t completely healed from the procedure yet then it could take as little as an hour to begin to close. However, if you’ve had the piercing for a long time, then the hole will generally stay open for longer. It could be that you're allergic to the metal in your jewelry, or it could be a health problem that's a totally different thing not related to piercings. It's not normal for nose piercings to take that long to heal. Please visit a professional piercer or a doctor for this.

While the most tender and painful part of healing should be over in around 1-3 weeks, septum piercings take around 6 to 8 months to completely heal, and you can change the jewellery in 6 to 8 weeks providing it's well-healed. You should try and leave it as long as possible, though.

This type of splinter is contracted from lumber or other vegetative materials. Wood splinters must be removed from wounds because they are associated with inflammation and risk of infection. Larger or deeper splinters can result in difficult removal, or localization of the foreign body.

A minor wound like a cut will usually heal to leave a raised line, which will gradually fade and flatten over time. This process can take up to 2 years. The scar will not disappear completely and you'll be left with a visible mark or line. Fine-line scars are common following a wound or after surgery.
