Resisted terminal knee extension: make a loop with a piece of elastic tubing by tying a knot in both ends. Close the knot in a door at knee height. Step into the loop with your injured leg so the tubing is around the back of your knee. Lift the other foot off the ground and hold onto a chair for balance, if needed. Hi
Pain in your knee is due to cycling . Either need to keep doing regular excersize which involves quadriceps and hamstrings muscles - that’s best thing to do and get better .
Pain killers are temporary, so no need to take regular.
If u r swelling persistent , needs ultrasound scan and X rays of knees . No need to do urgently .

Hello, if your acl is torn and you're doing a sports activity and if you feel issue of giving away or some twisting off your leg again and again while playing sports I would suggest better to get it operated as there is a high chances that your knee might go early arthritic changes or else you repeat mri done and see status of your knee joint accordingly you can plan treatment as many of them with deficient knee also do better in sports. Knee ligament laxity if you have problem in your legs then it might be due to ligament laxity where your legs would become very weak due to the old ligament injury and that should be treated immediately. Wear knee cap so that you will feel firm while walking or climbing stairs.

Respected Lybrate user. Don't be worried about this. Please consult physiotherapist and take physiotherapy treatment and, suggestions and precautions. But after 3 months surely go for surgery and after surgery please give to your wife" physical therapy" at regularly and regular check-ups are more helpful and important. Don't be forget about this.
