Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Stiffness have developed due to weakness of the ligaments &inflammed cartilage. Specific knee exercises will also help ie. Keeping ball underneath the knee and keep pressing it. That's the simple exercise which will help you to strengthen the knee.

Two weeks back when I suddenly got up from the chair, I felt some tightness in my right knee. I felt like my knee was locked. But when I tried to stand up, I heard a pop sound from the knee with intense pain which lasted for about 20 seconds. Later when when I tried to walk or climb stairs, I feel like my knee joint is slipping off, I can't give strength to my leg and I also can't flex or extend my leg properly. I am using a knee support bandage for the last two week and even while using it also I experienced the slip off feeling. So I consulted a doctor in my neighborhood, he advised for mri. In the mri report, the finding was discoid lateral meniscus. But the Dr. said only in one image of the mri there is a small tear. He said if the symptoms are not hindering my daily activities better not do the surgery as it can lead from partial menisectomy to a complete and can even progress to arthritis issue in later stages. Im just 25 now. I have been using knee support for the last two weeks and pain and anti inflammatory medicines for last 1 week. Now I feel better. Now I can walk with bandages but im scared to apply pressure on my right leg. I do not flex the right leg now. What should I do now. I need a good opinion from your side. Is it safe to walk with that small injury to the meniscus. Will I be able to do at least my regular activities properly. please reply me back.

Hello.
Honestly. I don't know what is the indication of egg membrane capsules in your cases. I am a rheumatologist and I have never seen anyone prescribe it. Please connect with your doctor and ask him if you have any concerns regarding that. You must take the medications hcqs and methotrexate as prescribed as these are basic drugs to control ra. Please also understand that these drugs need at least 6 weeks to act.

Cold compresses can help reduce swelling in the area. Cooling also helps to numb sharp pain. Apply an ice pack for up to 20 minutes, up to five times a day. Use a frozen gel pack, ice cubes in a plastic bag, or a bag of frozen peas. Wrap the cold pack in a soft towel. Do not apply a cold pack directly to skin.
Heat therapy
heat helps to relax tense muscles and soothe a stiff area. It can help with muscle pain and bonny pain. Use a heated gel pack, heating pad or a hot water bottle.

Since when? Although I need details but it can be sciatica. Prevention
