Putting oil in the ear is only suggested if any insect enters the ear. Leaving oil in can increase infections, if any. Ear pain suggests an infection in your case. Depending whether you have associated fever and cold or not, a proper diagnosis can be obtained in your case. It is advisable to visit the nearest ent specialist to get it physically tested before it can do any damage.

Slap injuries (“cuffing the ears”) can also cause rupture of the ear drum. Most people only complain of having a blocked feeling in the ear with a hearing loss. Occasionally severe dizziness is experienced. When looking at the ear drum there may be greenish or bloody drainage from the hole in the drum.

1. No need to worry, you just have an infection 2. Since skin on ear is tightly atached to cartilage below, even small amount of inflammation can be extremely painful. 3. One course of antibiotics and painkillers will relieve you of pain.

1. You have eustachian tube dysfunction .(any history of hearing loss, ringing sensation, loss of balance/vertigo=could be acoustic neuroma) 2. Did you used to have recurrent cold/history of allergic rhinitis? Any h/o recent air travel?
3.anyways, I would recommend you to get ear looked at through otoscope to rule out any fluid build up in middle ear.

A ruptured eardrum can be the result of pressure caused by fluid buildup in the middle ear, often from an infection. It can also result from ear injury or trauma from a foreign body. As a result, you may notice fluid or pus draining from the ear.

Dear lybrate-user, please do not self medicate, instead you should consult a good ent specialist. Merely by using ear drop is not going to solve your condition.

Yes you can use but in case the pain persists please consult an ent specialist as sometimes this may require clearance from ear by suction.
