Hello excess growth of unwanted hair can be a result of hormonal problems, polycystic ovarian syndrome etc. If there are any specific causes, treatment is prescribed accordingly. Thin hair are best treated with lasers while thick dark hair (which are most commonly seen on chin, chest and breast areas) are best treated with radiofrequency (radiosurgery). We have 4 different types of lasers for hair removal viz ipl, diode, alexandrite and long pulse nd-yag laser. Indication for each is different and different treatments work best in different skin and hair types. The latest laser machines are very fast and can treat entire face in less than a couple of minutes. More importantly, they don't need any shaving of the area before treatment as was required with older machines. The cost depends on the exact nature of treatment (laser or rf & type of laser) and the area to be treated.
