It is not normal, but yes possible to get dizzy with neck pain. Here the cause of pain in neck should be our focus. Trauma, bad posture or an autoimmune disease can be the cause. I would recommend you take an appoint with a doctor so that your case can be discussed in detail.

Hi, 60+ year old woman is suffering from auditory hallucinations since march. She has been taking 'olimelt 10 mg' for 3 months now (along with zapiz 0.25 mg-1 month, ativan 1 mg-last 2 months) as per psychiatric doctor suggestion (psychosis). Liver test, blood test have been taken, its normal. Earlier she used to hear in the day time also, but nowadays only at night time she is hearing that too when she is about to sleep or early morning/if she wakes up at mid-night. Some of the other symptoms are, - suddenly crying at times (politely) - lack of concentration/focus - not speaking with anyone freely. Just 2/3 words, thats it - mild forgetfulness (small things like at times forget to switch off gas stove.) - mood swing like sometimes feel low/depressed -> can judge by looking at her face need experts advise on the below please. - all of the above are symptoms of psychosis? Any other medical test recommended for further analysis as per your experience? - can she take both psychiatric tablet and ayurveda/homeo medicines (saraswatharistam, manasamithira vadagam) together, bec. She wanted to reduce allopathy tablet intake for long run? - any other suggestion for faster recovery (like food habits, yoga, meditation, oil bath. Etc) any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Dear madam, it looks like the psychosis (hallucinations) are responding to aliment, but some of the symptoms you mentioned are suggestive of depressive disorder. I would suggest that you bring them to the notice o the treating psychiatrist. Psychosis can occur as part of a major depressive episode too and sometimes, it takes a few visits to get a clear picture. If she has no health issues like diabetes, hypertension, then no other tests would be required to evaluate the mental condition. I would...more

I am 54 years of age. During this past year, I have been diagnosed with cervical degeneration (c4) which led to positional vertigo. This has considerably affected my confidence. The ongoing pandemic has left me feeling especially isolated. I haven't stepped out for nearly 8 months which made me feel estranged from my siblings. Off late, my entire family along with my sister's family have been victims to covid-19 infection. With the history of mild asthma, this attack resulted in anxiety - experiencing physical symptoms such as: -palpitations, -gastritis, -head reeling, -mild chest tightness -insomnia - occasional fullness of ear psychological symptoms include: -restlessness -preoccupied manner with uncontrollable overlapping thoughts (over thinking) -fear of future -ennui and mortality associated distress -loneliness as a result of a recently married daughter and a son bound to study abroad -sole ownership of all responsibilities being the eldest sibling. (burdened by thinking that only i'm the sole caretaker of everything) -dread at dusk -irritability and mood swings at times however, I have no family problems or financial pressure. Kindly advise on the course of action further.
