No. Don't worry.
Accuracy of the CVS Test. Chorionic villus sampling is more than 99 percent accurate when it comes to diagnosing chromosomal results, such as Down syndrome. However, there's a sliver of a chance for a false positive—when the test comes back indicating a genetic problem, but in reality, the baby is developing normally.

Hi, the filtered prbc transfusion contains same amount of iron as without filter. Filter are not for reduction of iron. It is used to reduce transfusion associated fever, shivering and to reduce late effect of alloimunisation, a complications which leads to future blood transfusion ineffective. For iron overload, one need to take regular oral medicine (chelation therapy). Hope it clears the confusion.

As she is thalassemic, so I think, she is receiving regular blood transfusion. The direct coombs test may become positive in many situations and treatment is completely different for those. First the test may give false positive report, if done within 3 weeks of last transfusion. If it is true positive, then we need to do indirect coombs test with specific card (3 card or 11 card) to know whether it is auto immune or allo immune in nature. For details evaluation you need to contact with immuno h...more

Thalassemia is a genetic (i.e., passed from parents to children through genes) blood disorder. People with Thalassemia disease are not able to make enough hemoglobin, which causes severe anemia. Hemoglobin is found in red blood cells and carries oxygen to all parts of the body. When there is not enough hemoglobin in the red blood cells, oxygen cannot get to all parts of the body. Organs then become starved for oxygen and are unable to function properly.

There are two types of Thalassemi...more

Hi. Yes the space can be closed here only if you maintain your oral hygiene. Pyrrhoea indicates that there is some kind of negligence towards your oral hygiene.
Rinse your mouth properly after eating anything especially after eating soft, sugary and sticky foods.
Brush twice daily. Brushing at night time before going to bed is a must.
Visit a dentist for Scaling/Cleaning of your teeth. He / She may prescribe you antibiotics as well.
