Dear sir, lung cancer can be detected by screening chest xray or Low radiation ct scan. Initially only a coin like shadow may be present Which may be asymptomatic initially.

Kidney normally flush out the toxins in our body and filter the blood and form urine and if there is problem with the kidney function than blood is not filtered and there is overload of the heart which causes water retention and which leads to accumulation of the water inside our body including lungs.

Kindly write if any symtoms and hrct chest, spirometry report. Lung shrinkage, if due to ipf, then not much can be done. Better consult a pulmonologist with all reports.
