Pleural fluid can be from lung Cancer as well as due to spread of cancer to lungs from other sites like ovary, Breast, stomach, pancreas to name a few. Pleural fluid positive means it is an advanced disease.
When the cancer has spread to the lungs the chances of cure are less. If it is ovarian cancer than they may give chemotherapy upfront to see if the cancer including fluid regresses and may offer surgery later.

Hi, lybrate-user.Stage 4 Lung Cancer is not completely curable. Lung Cancer at that age carries very poor prognosis. Choice of treatment depends upon type of cancer (Adenocarcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma. If He has adenocarcinoma there are options of either Targeted therapy or chemotherapy whereas Squamous cell Carcinoma there is only option of Chemotherapy.

Dear, As per what you said. She must be on supportive treatment for her low BP and other conditions. Treatment of cancer can be done after her condition stabilizes. Let the drs follow icu protocol and get her out of emergency.

What is the cause of the cord palsy? Is it an apical mass or a cervical lymph node, which is pressing on the right recurrent nerve?

Angiography is special CT scan. So lung Lesions can be detected by changing reconstruction algorithm. Needs more information to help you.

There are many who claim that they can cure cancer with Ayurvedic, unani, homeopathic aswell as Tibetan medicine.
