I am having respiratory tract infections and I did ct scan of thorax. And in the report it is showing that i'm having an oval hypodense lesion in the splenic hilar region what that means?

Icchyosis my father has been diagnosed with mild ild, ipf. Gerd. Pulmonologist in bangalore Dr. Br ramesh had prescribed pirfenex cipla tablet. Recently changed to acebrophylline 100 mg. Reason: he was not eating well. He has oxygen at home and also checks oxygen level with oximeter. Questions: 1. Are there any trials or cures better in homeopathy than allopathy? 2. What is the best way to control cough and also maintain his appetite? 3. He is eating little by little multiple times. Is this the way this condition works? 4. He was in america and had gone through multiple sets of tests, ct scans, blood tests, x-rays and was never told by the doctors that he has mild ild, ipf - lung scarring. After going back to india a year back he was told this diagnosis. 5. Are there any stem cell therapy or treatment available? 6. He is complaining about “dum chandna” or shortness of breath and not able to walk properly. 7. What is the best course of treatment? 8. Can he take allopathy and homeopathy medicines? Dear Mr. lybrate-user, perfinidone is the mainstay treatment. In this condition, lung becomes like rope fibres, the size of the lungs reduces and hence there is difficulty in breathing (dam chadna) and cough is present. Mr. lybrate-user, pirfefenidone is the main drug for ild if its ipf form. Acebrophylline is not useful in ild. There are few cough syrups that wil help to reduce it.

I am 30 years old recently diagnosed with pulmonary aspergilloma. A second opinion fungal culture of hemoptysis blood is positive for candida albicans. Can candida present as a pulmonary mycetoma without being invasive in a colonise post tb cavity? I am not immunocompromised.

I think you have wrong information about lung inflammation .ask your treating doctor about the prescribed medication. Ibuprofen and other oral anti-inflammatory medication (except steroids) have no role in asthma.

Hyperflaten lung, repeated pft normal (82%), taking foracort 200 rotacap 2 capsule morning and night .doctor said reduced does in next visit .hospital outdoor is closed for lockdown and covid for 4 month. Hello doctor. My father is 77 years old and has been diagnosed with ild recently. All needed blood test /scan/xray were done and all his vitals are normal n stable. However he is no oral medication and has only on and off cough and breathlessness during the early mornings and Dr. Has prescribed him to have nebulization of duolin+budecort once a day at night or as needed. Our concern is nebulization be the only way out to treat his ild going forward or is there any other way out to handle this. It depends on the type of ILD.

Nebulisation is not the main kine of treatment.
It is only supportive.

Depending on the type of ILD He needs to be started on tablets depending on IPF/NSIP Pattern and cause for ILD.
Oral tablets are the mainstay of treatment.
