Uncontrolled diabetes and high serum triglycerides may cause serious complications, either change your life style altogether with no suagr, negligible carbohydrates, almost zero cooking oil to be used while cooking, 2 gm salt in 24 hours. Without medicines of lowering sugar levels chances of hypoglycemia are quite less. You must see an md internal medicine specialist along with a homeopathic doctor for control and eradication of causes of your illness. Hope this helps else you may direct message me all investigations.

Any one taking medication for lowering blood sugar has a chance of low sugar too. You need a periodic check up and know the symptoms of low sugar. If you have repeated attacks of low sugar, your medication has to be adjusted accordingly. You can have a glucometer at home to check if any doubt.

Hypoglycemia - Signs To Identify It!

There are numerous conditions that can arise when the body does not process the dietary glucose properly. Hypoglycemia, otherwise called as low blood sugar, is when the blood sugar level in a person’s body decreases than normal value. Individuals with diabetes can get hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) when their bodies do not have enough sugar to use as fuel. It can happen for a few reasons, including diet, few medications and conditions, and exercise.

In case you get hypoglycemia, record the date and time when it happened and what you did. Give the record to your specialist, so he or she can search for a pattern and adjust your medications accordingly. The most widely recognized reason for hypoglycemia includes medicines used to treat diabetes mellitus, for example, insulin and sulfonylureas.

The risk is more noteworthy in diabetics who have eaten very less than what is required, exercised more than expected, or have had excessive alcohol. Other reasons for hypoglycemia incorporate kidney failure, certain cancers, for example, insulinoma, liver sickness, hypothyroidism, hunger, an inherent error of digestive system, extreme diseases, receptive hypoglycemia, various medications and liquor. The vast majority feels the symptoms of hypoglycemia when their glucose is 70 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL) or lower. Every individual with diabetes may have distinctive symptoms of hypoglycemia depending on their age, stage and other factors. You will figure out how to recognize yours.

Some of the most common symptoms are:

Early indications include:

  1. Confusion

  8. Racing pulse
  9. Pale skin
  10. Sweating

In case you have this condition, your glucose can drop without you noticing it. Without quick treatment, you can pass out, encounter a seizure, or even go into a state of extreme coma.

Treatment for Mild Hypoglycemia:

  1. Liquorice roots: Cut the roots and boil it. Drink the water every day for controlled sugar level.

  2. Intake of 15-20 kg of carbohydrates is necessary every day. You can get a stabilized carbohydrate content from a bread slice, a banana and a bar made of cereal.
  3. Drink sugar-filled drinks such as Pepsi, etc. Glucose tablets and juice ease the disease rapidly. The patient can also eat sweets in this case. Take a balanced level of sugar content drinks such as 160 ml of cola or lemonade or 200 ml of fruit juice.

Treatment for Severe Hypoglycemia:

In case somebody is having an extreme reaction, for example, unconsciousness, it is imperative to inject a drug called glucagon and contact the hospital quickly. People who are at danger for low glucose need to speak with their specialist about getting a solution for glucagon. You should never give an unconscious individual anything by mouth, as it could make them choke. Hypoglycemia should not be ignored. Depending upon the type of symptoms you are witnessing, you should immediately rectify or consult with your specialist before it gets severe.

If a person is attacked by seizures. It’s not possible to give such medications at that time. At that time a pillow or cushion should be placed below the patients head. The seizure goes away in about 5 min. if holds up more time. The person needs to get admitted to a hospital.

Hypoglycemia doesn’t have its adverse side effects if captured at an early stage. The person gets recovered with the above-stated home medications. Although slow realization of the disease can take the person to the stage of a comma. The disease engulfs body’s maximum energy and few essential body functions also get hampered. But it is treatable with regular natural medications. People having diabetes receives the highest threat of the disease. The sugar levels have to be maintained for proper body working. If the person’s blood sugar level is not right, he/she may have the tendency to get hypoglycaemia and hyperglycemia. Having both this disease is the root of having diabetes. It would make the body weak, and the person will crave for more sugar. It will also weaken the nerve cells and tissues of the brain. Weight will be lost gradually which is a terrible sign. Therefore don’t be late if you are having this above-stated signs go to the doctor and have the proper diagnosis of the disease.

Learning More About Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems!

If you are suffering from diabetes then you would know how crucial it is to maintain optimum glucose or sugar level. Increasing or decreasing the sugar level in your body can be extremely fatal. Diabetes is a disease which arises due to excessive sugar in your blood. Thus, in order to control the disease, you need to make sure that the sugar level is maintained evenly. Sudden changes in the level might cause other health problems. Thus, not only do you need to go for constant check-ups by the medical practitioner but also need to conduct regular blood tests every year. These apart, to maintain a standard glucose level or to measure the level in your body, you can make some of the Continuous Glucose Monitoring system or the CGM.

What are Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems?
CGM’s are small devices that a diabetic patient wears on their skin. This device measures the glucose content of the body day and night and alerts the patient in case of an imbalance in the sugar levels. A graphical representation of the sugar levels is presented to you every day so that you can see for yourself the rise and fall of the glucose content in your body. The Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems are of two different types.

The first type involves those devices which provide you a graphical representation of your sugar levels in real time. The second type involves those devices from where you can download and analyze a recorded sugar level of your body throughout the day.

Advantages of CGM’s:
There are several advantages of using a CGM. Some of them are:

  • The sugar level can be accurately tracked all day long and even at nights. This is helpful in alerting you even to the slightest change in the level in your body.
  • With continuous measurements, you can get rid of regular blood tests prescribed by your doctor. However, it is advisable to consult your doctor once prior to the skipping of any blood tests.
  • You can monitor the trends of the sugar level in your body. That is, you can gauge the trend as to when the sugar level is high or low in your body.

These are some of the essential facts that you need to know about CGM’s. These devices are becoming quite popular with those suffering from diabetes. It is one of those instruments which have made it easier to balance the lifestyle of diabetic patients.

Thanks for query. There is no medication for low blood sugar medication. First you start to check your fasting blood sugar and 2 hr after major meal. Alternate day and show to us. If your fasting blood sugar is less than 100 and post meal is less than 140 than start medication and take care of diet and exercise. Check blood sugar regularly.

Know More About Management Of Blood Sugar Levels!

Diabetes might not be the end of the road for you. While it is a chronic disorder, there are a number of steps you can take to minimize its effects. Before that, you should know what diabetes is and its various types.

What is diabetes?

Diabetes is a metabolic disorder where the sugar in your blood is not metabolized by the body. This leads to a situation wherein sugar accumulates in your blood; this condition is known as high blood sugar. Now, this can happen in two ways:

  1. Type 1 Diabetes: In this type, the beta cells of the pancreas that produce insulin (hormone that metabolizes sugar) are destroyed by the immune system of the body. This leads to reduction in insulin levels, causing blood sugar to shoot up.

  2. Type 2 Diabetes: Type 2 diabetes is a condition wherein the body cannot effectively utilize the insulin to metabolize sugar. This again leads to accumulation of sugar in the blood.

Apart from these two types, there is a third type that is known as ‘gestational diabetes’. Gestational diabetes occurs during pregnancy wherein the body produces hormones that inhibit insulin.

Now that you know the various types of diabetes, it is time to focus on preventive measures. The various tips for high blood sugar level are:

  1. Steer Clear of Sugar: Think of sugar as your enemy, as it is something that you have to stay away from. Sugar will only add to the high blood sugar content that you are already diagnosed with.

  2. Welcome whole grains with open arms: Refined grains are a big no; that means no more of those delicious white bread sandwiches. Instead, opt for whole grains such as brown bread, brown rice and oats. Refined grains come under simple carbohydrates that cause your blood sugar levels to shoot up.

  3. Avoid over-consumption of fruits: While fruits are healthy, they do contain fructose which is again, a form of sugar. So, yes eat them but limit their consumption to one serving a day.

  4. High time you realize nothing substitutes exercise: Regular exercise can help you burn calories and also keep your blood sugar levels low. It allows you to maintain healthy weight levels and improves your overall wellbeing.

  5. Take no stress: Stress has been shown to increase blood sugar, so if you are feeling stressed and can’t seem to get out of with, take steps to deal with it. Practice relaxation techniques such as meditation that can help you reduce stress and improve focus.
