I will be more concerned about your father's triglyceride levels as they are too high and your father is at risk of developing complications including pancreatitis. He needs prompt treatment to get the levels under control. Second thing the sugar levels you are talking about does not constitute low levels but well with In the normal range. I wouldn't be worrying too much about sugar level at the moment.

Hypoglycemia occurs in every diabetic patent's life sometimes and there is nothing to be ashamed or embarressed.
Important thing is to recognize it, prevent it, and manage it if it happens.
Take your food regulary, do not take insulin without food, avoid overexertion, monitor your blood sugar frequently, take some sweet or sugar if you are feeling weakness, sweating,trembling, hunger,dizziness.
