Inspite of 48 units of insulin & jalra m daily, your blood sugars are very high. Either you are not taking insulin shots properly or it isn't working (due to several reasons). Give details of treatment like type of insulin, duration of diabetes, present hba1c level, etc.

A few months back we thought I had hypoglycemia. Symptoms being: Headaches, eye pain, mood changes mostly pending on food, shaky with out food, chronic fatigue etc. We recently got a kit to test blood sugar levels and they are usually between 125 and 145, once it was 163. Would this be considered" impaired glucose tolerance" more close to diabetes or is this normal range? (19 years old, female, 125 pounds) I have no health insurance at this time and am looking for advice. I have a few health things going on. Others being on my period 3 weeks a month, off one week a month. I've never been one to be tired but lately I need more sleep. Mood swings. I do have to eat something every hour or everything gets worse (Shaky, head ache, mood swings, depressed, tired, weak, behind my eyes hurt, dizzy, most symptoms of hypoglycemia) Any ideas, help? Advice?

Hye,
You are getting into nutritional deficiency, hence showing above signs.
Most often lack of stamina, energy levels etc is due to poor nutrition.
It is important to know that just eating two heavy meals a day will not fulfill your nutrient needs.
Most often we skip meals especially when at work or in college. We start our day on empty stomach but our work or stress or activity is never reduced.
This causes weakness and lack of energy levels. Food is our source of energy an...more

by ayurvedic treatment only you can control diabetes and hypertension.
jambvasava you start 10ml two times a day.
avoid day sleeping. eat meals 4-5times rather than 2 times.
after taking medicine if you feel like restless ness then lower your insulin dose slowly. because at a time ur taking ayurvedic as well as allopathic treatment.
aftrr week again check sugar level. further medication consult me directly.

Dear friend
if your parents prespire due to low sugar levels then give them sugar or glucose because that is exactly what will save them. We should try to simplify complicated situations and not try to complicate simple situations. Hope I have driven my point clear to you. Regards.

I think you should rewrite your information clearly. Frankly not able to respond to this query from 33 years and 6 months , male patient having a history of pregnancy and history of Gestational Diabetes. However any post prandial hypoglycemia may have to be investigated first by Glucose Tolerance Test and if necessary other related test like Thyroid etc.

I am diabetic type-2 for last 6-7 years plus had cardiac arrest in Jan 2015. I take my cardiac related medication regularly and medication for diabetes; while my blood sugar level fluctuates rather wildly. I walk more than 8000 steps every morning for almost one hour get back home have coffee without sugar (for last 12-15 years) with two biscuits (Marie), followed by breakfast {Idly 3/4 or Dosa 2 or Upma 2 scoops or 2/3 slices of wheat bread with one egg} I have a small sized mug of porridge around 10/11am followed by lunch at 1pm {Rice (2/3 laddles) or chapati (2), subzi two scoops, liquid curry 2 scoops & yogurt 2 scoops}. Some days only there is evening coffee or tea w/o sugar and some biscuits 2nos or poha dry}. Dinner is almost same (if rice for lunch then wheat for dinner}. There is a lot of physical activity done around house plus climbing from GF to FF to roof top. Presently medication is; (a) PRAX A 75 (0-1-0), (b) Istavel 100mg (1-0-0) (c) Cardivas CR 10 (1-0-0),(d) A to Z (1-0-0) {Multi vitamin tablets} (e) Rozavel F (0-0-1), (f) Diamicron Mr. 30mg (0-0-1) Walking is no problem except need to do a slower start than what was done earlier feeling is pleasant pain & tiredness very brief which is naturally cooled off sitting shade on terrace reading morning newspapers. I can easily walk same distance in evening. Sugar level is fluctuating sometimes as low as 88/120 to as high as 150/210? How do I ensure it remains steady and thro what control? Diet? Please advice.

You are perfectly following a diabetic diet and the sugar levels you mentioned are minor fluctuations and need not require extra medication
