Nothing special needs to be done to increase the platelets. Just follow a good diet (with lots of fruits and vegetables) while avoiding processed and packaged food including sodas. Try to exercise every day and eat a few calories less so that you can achieve normal weight (ideal weight ). You can also start homeopathy as it helps natural healing without any side-effects. You can contact me for a private consultation.

Platelet count greater than 4.5 lac is termed as Thrombocytosis / Thrombocythemia in Medical terminology. It needs to be investigated. This condition occurs when your body produces too many platelets, which can lead to abnormal clotting. ... When your platelet count is too high due to a specific disease or condition, it's called secondary or reactive thrombocytosis. Primary thrombocythemia is less common than secondary thrombocytosis.

Lean meats such as fish, chicken and turkey are rich in protein, zinc and Vitamin B12, all of which help increase the blood platelet count. Beans contain Vitamin B9 or folate which greatly helps boost the blood platelet count. Some other foods rich in B9 are spinach, asparagus, and oranges.

Giant platelet" is a term used to describe platelets that are abnormally large, i.e. As large as a normal red blood cell. These may be seen in certain disorders such as immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) or in rare inherited disorders such as Bernard-Soulier disease. You need further check up like bone marrow test and the detailed report need to be shown.
