Dear lybrate-user, Firstly stop scrubbing your lips. It will cause more hyperpigmentation. Keep your lips moist. Get a check-up done from a professional for hyperpigmentation elsewhere on the skin and oral cavity (just to rule out any other complication. Clear your systemic problems (constipation etc). Don't try too many things on lips. Retinoids from a specialist prescription may help. However there is no short cut to the treatment. It may take months.

Take a thin slice of lemon, sprinkle a bit of sugar on top and rub it on your lips. It will exfoliate dead cells so new, fresh skin can appear. Use this remedy daily for a few weeks. Alternatively, you can prepare a mixture of one-half teaspoon each of lemon juice, glycerin and honey.

The best way to improve this condition is, simply reduce those foot items in your diet, which are increasing that pitta in the body ,like non-veg, fast food, wheat floor (maida), sweets, milk tea etc. Here, I'm mentioning some home remedies for you.
