If you have bigger upper teeth then that's the only reason for that giant lips which pushes your lower lip .so better consult it with a dentist

Only cosmetic surgery is the solution. However I don't recommend that as if you are confident about your personality, big lips is just not a problem.

Any functional deficits like speech and mastication difficulties, tongue and cheek biting, taste dysfunction are the symptoms of permanent nerve injury which you don’t have. So ignore it. 90% of nerve injuries are temporary and get better within eight weeks. Your experience of temporary anaesthesia or paraesthesia after surgery will certainly subside. Army guidelines doesn't specifically mention any of the dental issues for rejection.
But with the patient coming in before their medical, ssb , from that experience i am answering this.
Until and unless it does not hamper in Mastication or phonetics, its not a problem
But yes if you have cavity or any of your tooth is deeply & grossly carious, also if your mouth is not clean, bad smell, gum bleeding , heavy calculus, heavy stains, then that is the concern . For that you n...more

Hello. Lybrate user. After cleft lip and palate surgery, there are procedures like speak therapy to guide speaking normally. It will gradually get normal. Cleft palate is a genetic condition and developmental disorder. It is not compulsory to affect the unborn child. I advice you to consult a general physician regarding, cleft lip of mom and child.
