Harpic is a commonly used toilet cleaning solution which contains hydrochloric acid as the active ingredient, whose ingestion can affect both the oesophagus and stomach in the form of ulcer, gangrene and perforation. In the long term may develop stricture, scar and also carcinoma. Consult your nearby Dr. Soon or with me online.

Hi. Harpic is corrosive substance which erode your stomach esophagus intestine or may cause aspiration pneumonia (lung damage. These cause viseral pain like stomach pain chestpain, not body pain or legpain. As far as understand you had harpic 6 months back so it's not the cause of your pain. If harpic poisoning is recent seek medical help.

Yes-she have to be taken to a hospital at the earliest and doctor will do gastric lavage; specific antidote; symptomatic treatment etc and keep patient for observation for specific period .as first aid we may have tried scratching at near throat-inside mouth; make her eat plenty of banana ;rice etc which will slow down absorption of poison, if any, by dilution of gastric contents.
