Hello, my mother is 54 years old and suffering from breast carcinoma. The doctor has removed the whole breast after operation and suggested there are no requirements for the chemotherapy only tablets are prescribed for taking the cure of disease and the medicine is 1.exemestane 25 2.phycolan. My concern is that exemestane 25 is coming to many companies i.e. Pfizer, natco pharma and others but pfizer company medicine cost is much higher than natco. Kindly confirm that we can take medicine of natco pharma or can go to pfizer because medicine is the same but prices are too much of a difference. wrong conception
broncho vascular prominence means cough n cold repeatedly in some intervals.
lately it converted in to COPD OR ILD MEANS CAPACITY OF RESPIRATION DECREASES.
LASTLY IT DECREASES TOO MUCH THAT PETIENT HAVE HUGE DIFFICULTY IN RESPIRATION SO OXYGEN SATURATION BECOMES LOW N LOW THAT LEADS TO DEATH.

Hello, I used to smoke. I started smoking in 2016 when I was 16 years old. Later in 2020 I stopped in lockdown and after that, did occasionally only until 2022. I started doing almost daily in 2022. I was doing it until jan of this year. I sometimes did 4-5 cig a day and sometimes not even one. I stopped doing smoking now with a fear of oral cancer. All of my friends smoke. Is it okay to sit with them in a smoking cafe or place? I read somewhere that second hand smoke can cause cancer. I am starting to do regular exercise but what about oral cancer? I will not smoke with them for at least a year now.

Advice needed from oncosurgeon. My father undergone tongue surgery in march 2023 dat tym Dr. Were removed 15 nodes. And radiation and chemotherapy is done. We did pet scan in sep reports are normal. Again we did pet scan in dec dat reports says few minimally enhancing enlarged left level 3 and left level 4 cervical group of lymph nodes noted largest in the left level 3 approximately measures around 0.9×0.7 cm,suvmax 4.54 and the largest lesion in left level 4 approximately measures around 0. 9×0.7 cm,suvmax 5.85.some doctors say only do chemotherapy n other Dr. said need to do operation but lymph nodes are very small. We are in confusion sir .pls suggest us. What we need to do nw. Tq sir.

Your father had already undergone a surgery for tongue cancer. But even after surgery lymph nodes have come positive in the recent pet scan. So the tumour has metastasis in the lymph nodes which are showing up now. There is no definitive thing as to which will work surgery or chemo. My dad is dealing with prostate cancer and metastatic i.e. Spread to bones. He is heart and diabetic patient as well. He had undergone surgery to remove testicles almost year back. Psa test shown low reading - 0.140 after surgery but start increasing gradually since then. Now psa stands at 18 and just had 2nd pet scan. Doctor compared both pet scans (6 months gap) before and after surgery and did not alarm anything new. No bone pain as such currently. Based on doctor prescription he stated zoledronic acid injection on monthly basis. 2 injections so far. He currently takes bicalutamide (50 mg) along with other calcium and vitamin d supplement here are the 2 major issues I need help1. After zoledronic acid injection. He got light fever for a week and nausea. His psa score was very low after surgery but gradually increasing in recent months now 18. He is taking bicalutamide (50 mg) (1 tablet daily) since november 2022. What are treatment options to treat the rising psa. I can share the pet scan and other reports. I am looking for a senior doctor opinion and follow up appointment. No homeopathic doctors please.

Cancer staging needs to do first. Different treatments / approaches are available for different stages. Psa will stop increasing only if we are able to treat the cancer or stop the cancer growth. Zoledronic acid & bicalutamide have limited role. Pet scans. Other reports & most imp patient s clinical condition will decide further treatment.

I am 52 years old. I have stage 4 pancreatic cancer spread to liver (adenocarcinoma). I have taken 6 cycles of chemotherapy and there was a break for 2 months. Recently I had some internal bleeding due to oesophageal varices and banding done. After that there was ascites in the peritoneal cavity. latest ct scan shows cancer cells are found to increase in liver and peritoneum. I have developed jaundice with 4.7 bilirubin.
