These brownih or greyissh brown patches can occur during pregnancy. There is very good treatment in homoeopathy both internal as well external. No need for laser as it can cause permanent patches later on. Please send yr picture showing these patches.

Normally the number gets stabilised by 18 yrs of age.
If your number is stable for one year and you dont have any ocular disease you can undergo laser eye surgery if thickness is good. It is a very safe procedure with advent of newer technologies.
However if you have a very high spectacle number or thin cornea, then laser surgery is not advisable.

Lybrate-user you need to undergo pre lasik workup which will include corneal topography. If your corneal thickness is fine and topography is normal, then you can safely go for lasik. Lasik has much predictable results with the current advanced technology. Side effects include dryness and glare for few months which eventually subsides.
