Desai Bhuma I have been diagnosed for left ovarian hemorrhagic cyst which is 6.33.72.3 cm in size. I am on hormone therapy only from one day. Can I stop pills and go for laparoscopy or I should complete 21 day course? I am going to abroad for studies after 10 days and will come after a year. What should I do?

Hi Lybrate user it's better to take course of antibiotics with hormonal pills complete it and observe on ultrasound for the size. It can come again. Try to get surgery with best on as it may damage ovaries and creat fertility issues.

I understood your concern and My opinion is that you should go for assisted reproductive technique such as IUI-Intra uterine insemination along with OVULATION induction drugs for atleast 4-6 months
It will defiantely help you in getting pregnacy

I had a ectopic pregnancy last year. And laparoscopy surgery was done. Doctors say that they diet harm the tubes. But after that my weight is continuously gaining. I have never crossed 53 kg . But now I am 59. I am doing little diet on my own. And brisk walk for 40 mins. Still there is no effect. Please suggest. Is iy due to surgery or os there any hormonal imbalance?

Hi. Laproscopic surgery is not resposible for your wt gain. You have not mentioned about your cycles whether there are reg/irregular. If they are regular then get thyoid profile n fasting blood sugar tests; if they r irregular then get a transvaginal scan along with the tests also to rule out pcod.

I am 19 years old. 7 months ago I have a major surgery of ovarian cyst. Doctor suggested laparoscopy but the cyst leads to major surgery. Am too hormonal if I thought about sex I will get wet I will thought about sex 2 to 3 times a day mostly everyday and the fluid will be in my underwear all the day will it cause any harm to stomach r health. And I do not have enough blood in me and too weak to do anything. And when I pee or bent down stand for too much I am have dull aches near my stitches someone said ts because of my weakness and the pains will go slowly. Please help me.

Hai. Please go thro a couple counselling on possibile causes and life style changes and also complete detailed investigations for both to find out the cause. Laparoscopy or hsg may not be your answer. Icsi can be kept as a deperate last choice.

I am male. My name is RINALDO. My age is 28 years. I am married since 9 months. From 7 months we are trying to have baby. Recently my wife was diagnosed with 2 cyst in her left ovary of 4.5 cm amd 2.3 cm each. She taking Novelon tablet as per doctors prescription. After this course of one month medicine our doctor told to take sonography and if still cyst is there then go for laparoscopy. Meanwhile I was asked by Doctor to do semen analysis for myself. And my semen analysis report is as follows: 1. Volume: 4 ml 2. Appearance: opaque white 3. liquefaction time: 30 mins 4. Viscosity: viscous. 5. Fructose test: positive 6. PH: Alkaline 7. Sperm count: 96 million/no 8. % motility after liquefaction: active-60%, sluggish-30%,immotile: 10%. After 3 hours: active - 40%, sluggish-30%, immotile-30%. 9. Average grade of motility: IV 10. Abnormal forms (200 spermatozoa): 15% 11. Pus cells: 2-5/ God seen 12. RBC's: occasional seen 13. Epithelial cells: 0-2/hpf seen Misc. Findings: NIL Sperm agglutination : Nil. Kindly clarify on my sperm analysis. Can I become a father? Am I having an infection? And how can my wife's problem be solved? AND when can we plan for a baby? Thank you.

Let your wife take Novelon for atleast 3 months for the cyst to resolve. Your semen analysis is fine.

Get your wife's ultrasound done after 3 months.

Health Query

Recently I had D&C Dilation and curettage, as there is a still bleeding, consulted the doctor, still the urine test says +ve so went for TVS scan, the report mentioned that a ectopic pregnancy may be there, So doctor suggested to have laprosocpy , to remove the pregnancy, also remove the tube if there is any infection, so went for a second opinion, they also performed TVS , the report says normal, so went for Beta HCG , the report was around 315, so went for pelvis scan to check the ectopic , report says normal Can anybody suggest what to do further. Please help me, we cannot take any decision if to go to laparoscopy or wait for some more days.

Follow up with s beta hcg every week if it's showing decreasing pattern nothing to worry. Some time it takes 6 weeks to be in nonpregnant level.
