My friend has been diagnosed with ovarian torsion in left ovary .What is the treatment for it? She has been advised by some doc to remove her left ovary. Please help.

An epididymal cyst occurs when the long, coiled tube behind your testicles called the epididymis becomes filled with fluid and can't drain. If it contains sperm, it's known as a spermatocele. This form of testicular lump is very common. It most often resolves on its own.

My mom was undergone with uterus removal surgery because she was suffering from cyst and its been 6 and half years to her surgery. Even after surgery she is still with the same pain like before removal and after a lots of medications and consultation she is still with same condition and severe pain around pelvis area and back pain her tests are normal. YOur mother may have anxiety as the cause of continuing pain and as the doctor said, if the cyst is removed there is no cause for any pain unless the mind is uncontrolled and pain is felt

A CT scan is required to look at the type of cyst
If it is simple cyst it just needs follow up.
If it increases in size or causes symptoms it may need removal which can be done laparoscopically or by open surgery.
