Hello, When were you operated? Laparoscopic Hysterectomy have its own benefits .You can continue all your routine activities including going on stairs ,lifting normal weights ,walking 24 hours after surgery .In fact these activities causes earlier healing .But strenuous activity should be better avoided like gym, or swimming for 2 weeks only .I hope it Helps!

My suggestion is if given an option for hysterectomy go to an experienced gynaecologic surgeon. You should opt for Laparoscopic Hysterectomy. Second option should be vaginal hysterectomy and last should be abdominal.
Arrangements for quicker recovery: Before you leave for hospital, for the surgery •Make sure that you have informed your absence at a particular place (e.g. Workplace, family etc) for specific time period. •If you have got an insurance then you need to complete your paperwork fo...more

That's a serious decision at this age. And hysterectomy just to avoid pregnancy is far too severe a solution. If you can afford ₹ 5000, best is a Mirena intrauterine device. It will give good contraceptive benefit and other positive health effects for the next 5 years. Effects are reversible on removal at any time. Copper T will cost lesser than ₹ 1000 but last 3 years, with mild side effects. After 5 years if you are still convinced not to conceive at all, go for laparoscopic Fallope ring appli...more

Hello dear Lybrate user,
Warm welcome to Lybrate.com
I have evaluated your query thoroughly.* Laparoscopic hysterectomy means dissection through laparoscope and then specimen retrieval from vagina by opening the vault.* Abdominal hysterectomy is separate entity with opening of abdomen from beginning and totally open surgery, no use of laparoscope. First one is less painful and gives early recovery than second one. Hope this clears your query. Wishing you fine recovery. Welcome for any f...more

It’s nice to hear that you want to reverse your diabetes, but to sorry to say, it does not appear to be the option in your case. The only time you might see a reversal is when an overweight patient undergoes gastric bypass which causes significant weight reduction and thereby having metabolic effect including reversal of diabetes.
You don’t belong to that category and as such My advise to you is try and get your sugar under control which is as good as having a reversal of the condition.

I think before going to have surgery you should go for proper homeopathic treatment atlst for 6 months, in that six months you could find what changes you have, generally fibroids are curable by proper homeopathic treatment, at this level of hb you should not go for surgery, rather take some food that have rich in iron which can increase your level and then you can think of it, but remember you should have some health hazards after hyterectomy,
