Take frequent breaks while reading and dip a handkerchief in cold water and keep it over closed eyes for 2 minutes during breaks, you will feel better. Also get your eyes checked for any spectacle number

Itching and redness is commonly due to allergy. Do cold fomentation over the eyes, dip a clean handkerchief in cold water and keep it over closed eyes for 2 minutes.. if severe , you need to start medicines after showing to eye surgeon
