Dengue is a viral fever. The most dangerous complication of dengue is dengue hemorrhagic shock. You need to check platelet count of the patient every alternate day and if it is less than 1 lakh then check platelet count daily. Treatment is only for symptoms. For fever tab paracetamol 650 mg four times a day after food. Admit him to a hospital if you find any new red/purple spots anywhere on the skin.
