Dear lybrate-user, chances of good results with knee replacement depend upon x ray picture, stage of disease, implant used and experience of surgeon in performing knee replacement. She should do fine with good quality implants though it will be costly affair. There are implants which can last for 25 years or more. You should go ahead with knee replacement. There is no such test. Well you can test for ra factor. Knee jt replacement is the last option. Depends on what is the condition of joint at present.
