If you have problem in your legs then it might be due to ligament laxity where your legs would become very weak due to the old ligament injury and that should be treated immediately. Wear knee cap so that you will feel firm while walking or climbing stairs.

Get a MRI done to know the status of intrarticular structures.
Some ligaments do not heal inspite of giving rest. 2 years and still pain persisting means you might not get relief with conservative measures.

The problem is you are constantly shifting doctors. Follow one doctor. The problem with your knee is the muscles are weak and so your knee is developing osteochondral damage as the muscle is not able to support your activity. Start exercising and don't simply do mri. Osteochondral injury can be picked up even on x-ray. You keep shifting doctors next doctor will say do bone scan. Stick to one doctor that's more important. Then only you will get healed.
