Your knee is probably stiff.
Also the loss of strength might be due to inferior ligament quality, this may need clinical assessment.
You can try CPM machine to relieve stiffness. Continue static Quadriceps Exercises regularly to strengthen Quadriceps Exercises. If you still encounter instability, you may need revision surgery to get back to high end sports activities.
