Dear Lybrate user
sorry to know about the condition of your father.
He is suffering from END STAGE RENAL DISEASE. Sometimes kidney transplant may not solve the problem.
He needs to have dialysis for increasing creatinine and pottasium levels.
Vomitings are due to uremia.
Blood percentage decreases in such cases. Transfusion of blood may be required during dialysis sessions.
Contact a dialysis centre who can do dialysis at an affordable price.
Hope for the best.

Transplanted kidneys can work for 10 to 15 years or even more if good care is taken. A repeat transplant with interim dialysis is possible before going for a retransplant. There are many factors on which the life of kidney depends and your nephrology team will be the best source for this information.

You must follow the advice given to you from time to time. Don't get confused by multiple suggestions from this or that pathy. Ckd needs continuous monitoring of kidney function by doing creatinine estimation and if levels cross the acceptable limits, dialysis must be done. Kidney transplants are quite successful and a timely selection of homologous donor is preferable. If somebody offers a cure please don't get carried away, mostly such people are quacks and frauds. Beware of them.

In chronic kidney disease, the kidney's structure gets permanently damaged. So far, there is no medicine which can regrow a permanently damaged kidney. The current medicines only reduce further damage. Your father probably has got chronic kidney disease. Few of the good medicines are contraindicated in renal failure. Interferon therapy can be used safely. Also new oral drugs for hep c are quite good though costly.
Treatment of hep c and remission is a must before transplant. Else complications of hep c like chronic hepatitis and cirrhosis will occur fast because of immunosuppressive drug therapy needed for kidney transplant.
