A 2 mm stone within the kidney is unlikely to cause pain. If the pain is persistent then further evaluation with ultrasound scan/ct scan is required. Side effects of medications will stop after stopping the medications but the symptoms will recur. Hence better to continue the tablet or consult and take alternative measures.
