There is an excess amount of fluid in that area due to some blockage of outflow or backflow of urine from the bladder into the kidney, it looks a little swollen or fluid filled compared to normal. In medical terms it is called as mild fullness of pelvicalyceal system or mild hydrinephrosis.

As you have already mentioned you are having only one kidney so i just want to let you know sir increase in size of your another kidney could be a part of compansatory mechanism because your single kidney is doing overwork than its capacity so it is obvious to get increase in size, if you are not facing any other problematic symptoms like pain or any sensation or any urine related issuesthen this is not a big deal just stay relaxed and dont get stressed unneccessarly.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
Although surgery is sometimes needed, in many cases hydronephrosis resolves on its own as a child grows, and surgery is not necessary. Essentially, hydronephrosis can be boiled down to a problem of urine flow.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.
