It would become alright after sometime. Go back for the follow-up and follow the suggestions. There is no special diet for that, you can eat a healthy diet ( home made food with lots of seasonal fruits and vegetables ). Take precautions and do not over-exert your shoulder joint which can create problems afterwards.

This pain n limp may be due to head of femur undergoing avascular necrosis that is it is decaying I would like to see xrays of patient latest one n older ones If it is avn then he might benefit from total hip replacement.
