Respected Lybrate user. Your grandfather's problem (surgery) and his complication are are treated and take decisions only your doctor's (orthopedic surgeon). I think your grand father's age is very important to plan for surgery. Family members support, decision are also important. No need to feel bad. Doctor's will try. As well as possible.
