Hello! there can be two reasons: 1. Tmj problem i.e. The joint between your jaws and head. May be there is some dysfunction of the joint thats why you are having pain while eating.
2. There can be pain in last teeth region i.e. 3rd molars which is referred to your ear region. My advice:
get yourself checked by a dentist nearby to rule out the possible cause after clinical evaluation of the condition then only further treatment can be planned.

To rule out the jaw pain- a complete dental check-up is important. This dental check-up will be different from a general dental checkup which includes
1. Soft tissue evaluation
2. Checking jaw joint- @ pre auricular palpitation, @ lateral auditory meatus palpitation @ hearing the click sounds @checking for early contacts @ checking for functional and nonfunctional contacts .and much more.

1. Cavity is present, which is deep, reached the nerve, so pain radiating to the jaw.
2. Hidden Cavity is present, and food getting lodged in it so, infection in gums, so the pain radiating to the jaw.
3. Third molar / Wisdom tooth/ akal darrd is coming and thus causing pain
4. Grinding your teeth at night and higher stress on the right side of the muscle
5. Eating most of the time from one side of your jaws and overwork by your muscle on that side...more

Hi probably that could be because of wisdom tooth eruption. When wisdom tooth is coming out few people might experience these kind of pain and discomfort. I suggest you to take an x-ray of that particular tooth and check for any abnormalities and also you might feel better if you take any antibiotic and muscle relaxant for 3 days.
