There are hormonal drugs for same but any drug can be prescribed by only doctor who has examined you or can examine you so go to such medical practitioner. -Paediatrician

Hi Team, Since the day I remember my cycle has been 45 days long. I don't ovulate in every cycle and need medication for follicle growth and then injection for rupture. I have one kid which was conceived via IUI. Planning another and need to know if ovulation issues can be fixed by medicine help or every cycle I need to monitor follicle growth and then take clomephine and trigger shot for egg rupture? I am 34 years old.

Hello,
You need to be evaluated for the cause of oligomenorrhoea like pcod, hypothyroidism, hyperprolactinemia, and unless the cause is addressed , you would need assisted techniques.

I did my IUI on 20 and 21st August 2018. Prior to that the stimulation given to me was follisurge injection for 5 days from day 2. This is my 2 nd IUI and prior to that have been in siphene and tried naturally for 3 months. My AMH- 0.4 No thyroid. Dr. had advised me to do beta HCG after 2 weeks. I did it today and result was 1.66. After sometime started having brownish like spots and discharge which stopped and started again. My periods date was also 3 rd September. What could this be? Can my beta HCG increase or is this my periods? I wanted to know as I am planning to go for IVF as two cycles of IUI are not success. Would like to know about this confusion and also with regards to IVF. Thank you.

Please note BHCG value of 1.66 is quite low. Unfortunately there is no pregnancy. You will get your periods in a day or two. Please also understand your AMH - 0.4 is low. There are supplements available for the same. And yes you should go for IVF and get pregnant asap.

I'm 35. Had 3 failed IUIs (1 in July when I had 2 dominant follicles and 2 IN August when I had 4 dominant follicles. Husband's sperm count was very good both times. The doc has suggested laparoscopy (wherein he will take a look at reproductive organs and do corrective surgery if something is wrong. The cost is INR 1,25,000 plus additional room charges of INR 10,000 for one day. 6 months back I had done hydrotubation, dilatation for vaginal passage and also removal of ulcer at mouth of uterus. The report shows slight resistance during hydrotubation. Doc said that I may be able to conceive naturally once laparoscopy is done (as it will fix all and any issues. A friend told me that laparoscopy is not required and that HSG is a cost efficient way of finding out blockage if any. Also I'm scared of laparoscopy as it will involve cutting holes and operating on delicate parts of the reproductive system. Please give me your opinion.

Laproscopy is just a test and I do not find any advantage in spending this money as it is it is not going to help you concieve and you are 35 also .i would suggest you to consult privately and share reports and not get misguided.

Health Query

Last month we tried iui after 24 hours of hcg 5000iu and dint succeed. This month doc advised to try iui after the egg ruptures that is 36 hours after taking hcg injection. What are the chances please help no problem with my sperm analysis except for erectile dysfunction (main reason for IUI) and her vital stats are also good.

The success of IUI cycle is 15%only .I hope you have got your wife's tubal patency done prior to IUI. U can try 3to 4 cycles of IUI if her tubes are patent.

Go to the gynaec who does iui time your menstrul cycle and then you can go for iui if your maturation occurs in that time.

Chances of pregnancy around 20 % if all other factors were examined and were found normal.
Nothing special about food.
Rest advise must have been given by Gynecologist who performed IUI
