I need to know any history of infection, perforation, wet ear etc and level of hearing loss. Your chance of degeneration is less because you are young. Pl see that specialists may guide you hearing aid if loss is marked. Till then some other indian wisdom methods may be helpful too prevent further loss or may even reverse if loss is very less. A preauricular pit is a small hole or cyst just in front of your ear above your ear canal. This hole marks a sinus tract under the skin that's in the wrong place. These tracts can vary in size. Some people have a short tract while others have a longer one with lots of branches.
