Theoritical common causes do not help you, whether a particular couple needs or not is important.
Anyway some of common causes are - both blocked tubes, very low sperm count, unexplained infertility, late age etc.

Fertilin is a drug that help your ovaries to produce egg from a cohort of follicle. But before ivf it is better not to use as it can alter synchronise of your follicle especially at your age. 1) pregnancy can occur only one day of the cycle that is ovulation day so unprotected sex around that day only important. As only one day in month nature should be given 12-24 trials (12 to 24 months) before couple need any active management by gynecologist or infertility specialist
2) must take folic acid daily as soon as planning starts.
3) pre coception reports and vaccinations must be done.

1) first understand and accept higher risk to both mother and baby in view of age.
2) any couple desirous of pregnancy and not getting the same naturally must meet a gynecologist or infertility specialist accepting the fact that it needs many reports and different trials of treatment. This means the couple must have patience and go to one with whom they have trust to stick for a long time.
3) to get now also early pregnancy may choose ivf or similar procedure.

1) before planning pregnancy understand and accept extra risk to both mother and baby because of age.
2) even now to get pregnancy early is important and earliest is possible by ivf.
3) also understand and accept that highest success is around 30% which is with ivf- yes it is costly.

Hi. As I can see your age is 44. Based on that you are in perimenopausal phase and periods can get very infrequent in this age. If you are trying to get pregnant, follow with your doctor for further ivf cycles. Do not stress on periods as they will be like this only for you till menopause.
