How is the treatment done?

The treatment is classified into seven stages. The first step is to check whether the patient is suffering from any diseases which affect the entire body such as diabetes and hypertension. Precautions for other diseases should also be done before the surgery. For this, each patient should be checked with these kind of diseases with appropriate dental management. The tooth that is to be planned to be removed should be extracted when the patient appears for the first day of the treatment. In case if multiple posterior teeth have to be extracted means they have to be extracted from the posterior end to the anterior end. This is done because the removal from posterior end does not damage the wound and allow it to heal. It also helps to improve the adaption of denture over the alveolus and tuberosity. The next step is done after the extraction. As the alveolectomy is finished with easy recontouring or by an interseptal. After that irregularity is reduced until the surgical guide is acquired to the alveolar ridge in all areas. The continuous and interrupted suture is used to close the incision which comes under the fourth stage. Depending on the count of removed teeth the suture will be selected. For the retention and quick healing of denture, the tissue conditioner will be used and this forms the fifth stage. The last and final step is to fit the immediate denture. After all, comes the maintenance stage the patient will call for a check up on weekly basis for several months. As because the denture has to be refined and adjusted. After a period of one year, the immediate denture will be re-evaluated by the dentist as the jaw bone will be healed during that period. If the denture seems to be suitable by the patient then that denture will be converted into the permanent denture.
