You have received the correct advice from your doctors to go for the corrective surgery and then the squint surgery.

You have a divergent squint or convergent squint and need to be examined by an ophthalmologist and surgery done. You need both the surgeries as one is for clear vision and the other for correcting the squint in the looks.

It is ideal for you to go for refractive surgery, i.e lasik or icl first & later on with squint surgery and both surgeries are required.

LASIK will not be a good choice for such high myopia. ICL ( intaocular collamer lenses ) which are implanted in the eye by surgery might be a better option.
