According to present study thyroid functions improve in hypothyroid patients doing regular physical exercise, as tsh levels decreased, and t3 and t4 increased in regular exercise group. Exercising increases metabolic activity, which helps burn more calories and helps keep weight down.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details given. Your TSH has again gone quite low. So stop taking Levothyroxine for the time being. TSH ideally should be around 2 to 4 mU/L at which all the symptoms are in check. Once you stop levothyroxine, TSH will will go p over next few weeks. You may check the same again after 6 to 8 weeks and see if it has come up to the desired level. Thanks.

Dear lybrate-user,
when you are treated ffor hyperthyroidism with carbimazole there will be weight gain as you have noticed if your tsh level is normal then your doctor will gradually reduce the dose of carbimazole. The sneezing problem you have may be due to an allergy problem in the nasal passage and if it is troublesome you can take an antihistamine like levocet 5 mg when needed
regards
professor m s seshadri.

Hi, lybrate user,
Craving for raw rice has nothing to do with hypothyroidism but eating raw rice might create intragastic disorder.
Go for meditation to reduce your stress to calm your nerves to check your urge to eat raw rice.
Tk, care.

Levothyroxine is given when the thyroid does not produce enough of this hormone on its own. Euthyrox treats hypothyroidism (low thyroid hormone). Euthyrox is also used to treat or prevent goiter (enlarged thyroid gland), which can be caused by hormone imbalances, radiation treatment, surgery, or cancer.

Fortunately, treatment options for both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism exist are usually well-tolerated. According to papaleontiou, treatment for an underactive thyroid involves replacing the hormones that the thyroid doesn't make with a synthetic hormone, such as levothyroxine.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. Only FT4 is not so much important. TSH has to come up also total T4 level also needs to be checked. The very fact that TSH is still 0.007mU/L, shows you have still a very strong hyperactivity of thyroid gland. TSH has to come up to 2 to 4 mU/L range. The hyperactivity has to be completely brought in control. If you are on treatment for over 2 years then please talk to your doctor and find out if other options like Radio Iodine c...more

Hello, Thanks for the query.
WIth adequate dosage of antithyroid drug like Methimazole, TSH should come up towards the normal range (0.5 to 5.0 mU/L), However, it takes quite some time to achieve the same. Usually the treatment has to be continues for over 12 to 18 months or longer. Please let me know what symptoms do you have now? Thanks.
