If you take more testosterone it will cause more gynecomastia by converting to estrogen. If you are taking any medicine or nutritional supplement on regular basis then it may be due to side effect of that. You should do blood tests - beta hcg, estradiol, testosterone, T4, TSH, prolactin, SGPT. But first see if it is only fat or true gynecomastia by doing ultrasound of breasts.

Gynecomastia is the male breast surgery. It is a 2-3 hour procedure. You need to stay in the hospital for 1 day. You will require 5-7 days of rest and then you can go back to your normal routine. Surgery is the permanent solution. The cost of gynecomastia varies between Rs. 60,000-70,000.

My friend has a height of 6.1 ft & 135 kgs weight. His weight started increasing frm the age of 10 (after his operation for tonsillitis. He started to exercise but of no use. Hardly a couple of kgs got reduced. At the same time whn his weight was increasing majority of the fat got deposited in his chest & hips part. Slowly the chest part grew at a increasing rate which affected his self esteem as his chest was looking like a breast. Now at age of 20 years his chest looks like fully grown breast with large areola & nipples which is always falling down & sagging due to which he is more under stress. As doesn't even likes to move out of house as people stare at his breast. He stopped wearing tshirts due to such shame. He feels very discomfort whn he walks, steps the staircase, do some exercises as his breast always move. Suggest some measures as to wht he should do (othr thn operation? Should he start wearing a bra, as bra is designed to give support to such falling breast, which will give him some confidence. His breast size have nearly reached 44C. Which more thn breast size of a girl of his age!

In ITP, the body's immune system, for unknown reasons, destroys healthy blood platelets. It also impairs the body's ability to produce platelets. Slowing the destruction of platelets is one approach to ITP treatment. Most treatments for ITP interfere with the immune system to help reduce platelet destruction. Some of these treatments are FDA approved for ITP and some are not. Many of these treatments are immunosuppressants.

Hello-
a normal platelet count in a healthy person ranges from 150, 000 to 450, 000 platelets per microlitre of blood. When the count is below 150, 000 per microlitre, it is considered a low platelet count.
There are three possible causes of low platelet count:
#presence of platelets in the spleen due to cancer or severe liver diseases. This causes a decrease in the number of platelets in circulation.
#reduced production of platelets due to leukemia, some types of anemia, viral i...more

The question is not of increasing platelets but of finding out the reason of low platelet count. It can be due to infections, medicines and some other conditions. Consult me with more clinical details and investigations if available to find the reason of low platelet count.
