I meet a guy in matrimony, we have been taking since 2019, he was working in delhi, once myself and my family went to meet his family. There was not much response but still he called and we spoke, last years when he lost his job he came bangalore n stayed with me for 5 months then we both went to his place, but his family has issues within themselves, too much fight and arguments, also the guy he starts drinking from morning after he lost job and smokes, am not able to understand him now coz he says things which I cannot think is fruitful or productive. I returned back bangalore alone as I was not feeling happy and peace coz of fights (arguments). Now each and every time we talk some arguments happens, though I can't think of leaving him. I have become aggressive and when I want sometime alone am not able to. May be I don't want to talk to him or may b I don't like what he does, his family has lots of problem and complains. I need a peaceful life I am 34 n want to get settled but not like this.

As you have described that you like the person but not what he has become.
I would suggest you to talk to him seriously about your concerns and make a final decision based on his view for your future.
Storing your feelings and your fears with yourself will slowly start affecting your body and cause mental stress and harm.

I got married 3 years back (arranged marriage). My husband is the only son to his parents. I live with my husband and in-laws. My mother in law is a mental patient. If she shouts at my husband & his dad, my husband takes her words seriously & starts fighting with her rudely like breaking things near to him or keeps hitting his own hands on the wall. My husband gets very upset by her words and gets angry. (knowing her mental condition). My father in law is tired of telling my husband not to fight with his mom as she is a patient. My father in law can't leave my husband and his mom alone at home and go anywhere. If my husband starts fighting with his mom, someone should be there to control him. Since my mother in law is a mental patient, she wants to dominate others. If anyone goes against her, she starts shouting and crying thinking others are neglecting her. All she wants is love. She gets jealous if I am happy with my husband because she thinks her son may forget her. So she is not happy with me and my husband's relationship. I didn't know all this before marriage, my husband should have told me about this before marriage but he didn't. I married my husband and all I want is to live a happy and peaceful life. I don't want any expensive things. My mother in law wants me to be with her all the time & she doesn't let me live with my husband. 1 or 2 days it's fine. I can not sacrifice my married life for her. I tried to convince her but she is not getting convinced. If she doesn't get convinced in this matter, she gets upset and starts shouting. If she gets upset, my husband also gets upset and starts fighting either with me or his mom. I don't know why. I asked my husband not to get upset deeply as I am his future too. He says "listen to my mom and do what she says, otherwise divorce me" if I listen to her, she will be in good mood and my husband will also be in good mood. To keep her in good mood, I can't sacrifice my life for her. If my husband doesn't get upset even if she gets upset or tensed, he will be in good mood and I can live a normal life with him. But I don't understand why my husband gets upset if his mother gets upset. He gets so upset by her words that he either becomes completely absent minded or starts fighting with her or with me very rudely. In that case someone should be there to control him. Can you please answer me, why my husband does so or would any man do the same thing as my husband?

shruti ji its really serious matter. but belive me your husban d is normal he does't have mental condition . due to some unaspected stree . all those thing happen. may be your husband thing you can make happy to her mother when he was outside. there may be also chances to dendency from your mother in law she doesnt fell happy when you both are happy. finally its irritating frequently in short time. just hope your good time will come soon.

This is too much… I have been diagnosed with the following mental disorders by psychiatrists from bangalore. 1) I am having 2 mood disorders (major affective depressive disorder, single episode and bipolar 1 disorder, most recent episode) 2) I am having psychotic disorder (grandiose delusional disorder) 3) I am having obsessive compulsive disorder (mild trichotillomania) 4) I am having adjustment disorder with mixed anxiety and depressed mood. 5) I am having personality disorder (moderate cluster b traits, schizotypal personality disorder, premorbid personality disorder) 6) I am having anxiety disorder in conditions classified elsewhere. From december 2020 to june 2021. I had undergone 10 psychotherapy sessions (via phone). Meanwhile, I also contacted various suicide prevention helplines via gmail and phone. And as per the instructions given by psychiatrist. I had completed the medications ,[ antidepressant (escitalopram) and antipsychotic (olanzapine) ] treatment for 46 days (january 2, 2021 to february 18, 2021). And then I stopped the medications by the permission of the psychiatrist. And then the psychiatrist told me to do cbt therapy. I completed 8 weeks of cbt (cognitive behavioural therapy) sessions on 20th may 2021. But the doctor said medications cannot alter the behaviour and even lots of cognitive behavioural therapy sessions will not give the desired result. You only tell…then why is the doctor told to start medications and therapy if they only are saying afterwards that there is no approved cure for the above mental disorders? Why did they play with my life so politely? Then the clinical psychologist from nimhans told me to watch comedy shows like tom and jerry to eliminate negative/suicidal thoughts. Then for almost 1 week I used to watch tom and jerry and my life was smooth….then I came across to the last emotional episode of tom and jerry in which both of them commits suicide by sitting down in the middle of railway track because of love-failure. Their love-interest married to someone else. So, now should I avoid watching tom and jerry for safety reasons? And, the clinical psychologist also advised me not to do meditation right now because…i think she may have told me because if I get obsessed with meditation then I might perform mahāsamādhi yoga. It’s a natural process where people have left their body consciously. It is the peak of yoga.
