Hyperactivity Questions

Kids are active. Some times hyper active. Specially while playing. My daughter often falls down and gets hurt. Outer wounds are curable, what about internal wounds? I am always worried about blood clots. Black and blue spots. Is there any medicine for blood purification for kids. Some one suggested me 'aarnika' is it good?

I have adhd and I take teva methylphenidate but I recently tried vaping at high nicotine concentration and it seemed to have the same affect as my med when I was’t on them. I was wondering if the doctor could prescribe me e-juice or some kind of nicotine seeing as I am only 17.

Nicotine in any form has serious I'll effects on your blood vessels, heart, brain etc. Any form of Nicotine for medical reason is not advised. Continue your Methylphenidate which keeps you on right track. On next consultation with your paediatrician, discuss it in detail. I suggest you to not to experiment with any Nicotine containing substances or other forms of abusive drugs which will affect badly (more than non ADHD people) on your health. Being teenager, channel your extra energy in some other creative work. Find new means of enjoyment than depending on substances.

My daughter is 13 years old and she is over active in class and home and from school many complaints have been given to me. She is talking about boy friend and girl friend like talking and so many things. So I am worried about her that how would I guide her at this age.

Yu have to gently talk to her and convince her about your points and encourage to be free with you. She should be guided gently without scolding and if needed a counselling may help.

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) affects children and teens and can continue into adulthood. ADHD is the most commonly diagnosed psychiatric disorder of children. Children with ADHD may be hyperactive and unable control their impulses. Or they may have trouble paying attention. These behaviors interfere with school and home life. It’s more common in boys than in girls. It’s usually discovered during the early school years, when a child begins to have problems paying attention. Symptoms are grouped into three categories: Inattention. Is easily distracted Doesn't follow directions or finish tasks Doesn't appear to be listening Doesn't pay attention and makes careless mistakes Forgets about daily activities Has problems organizing daily tasks Doesn’t like to do things that require sitting still Often loses things Tends to daydream Hyperactivity. Often squirms, fidgets, or bounces when sitting Doesn't stay seated Has trouble playing quietly Is always moving, such as running or climbing on things (In teens and adults, this is more commonly described as restlessness.) Talks excessively Is always “on the go” as if “driven by a motor” Impulsivity. Has trouble waiting for his or her turn Blurts out answers Interrupts others Consult a psychiatrist, if he has even few of these symptoms mentioned above, child needs detailed psychological evaluation and then treatment. All the best.
