it's not to control bleeding
get ultrasound done to find out reasons for bleeding and get treatment accordingly
ipill is loaded with hormones which can stop bleeding for few days but be prepared to get abnormal bleeding again

I start having periods cramps 10-12 days before periods starts but no bleeding and then pain stops and after 2-3 days cramps starts and periods come with heavy and painful. Sometimes pain starts 10-12 days before periods and end till periods come and end.
