I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
Most experts say that people should give up in one go, but most people who smoke seem to try to stop by gradually reducing the amount they smoke before stopping.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

45 years is a long time for tobacco?s chemicals to be coursing through your system. It has probably caused a lot of damage already. But it is never too late to stop. Although I do not know your reason to want to stop but it does sound compelling enough for you to want to even be jailed to keep you off of the cigarettes. You could instead consider admitting yourself into a hospital to detoxify your system to remove the physical craving to some extent and then you can work on the psychological con...more

Every packet of cigarette comes with the sign "Smoking is injurious to health." With every national budget plan, the prices of nicotine based addictives are hiked. Yet, you cannot quit smoking because you find it extremely difficult to resist the nicotine urge. Ayurveda says that the root cause of addiction is mental stress due to one of the 3 Doshas or forces-Vata, Pitta, Kapha. People try to terminate them through temporary, addictive methods rather than a bit more natural, holistic methods. H...more

You will need to consult your doctor for a prescription and you can get the medicine which will help to ease the withdrawal and also the craving. When quitting, you must take one day at a time; though you must give up all smoking at once, and promptly. If you look too far ahead you will get discouraged and will give up. If you sit and count the number of days you have given up, that will also focus too much on achievement. You must focus on the here and now, on that day to be precise. After all ...more

Thus inform everyone around you about your decision to stop smoking after a certain date. Doing this is known to improve motivation to achieve abstinence. Now until dat day you have to gradually and actively try to decrease one or two smokes a day. You can also stop buying packs and throw cigarettes before finishing. Avoid going into stressful situations...more

Prepare for cravings. Have a plan in advance for when cravings strike. You might try hand-to-mouth. This describes the action of moving your hand to your mouth for smoking. Have a replacement to fulfill this need. Try snacking on low-calorie snacks, like raisins, popcorn, or pretzels, when this urge comes up.
You might try exercising to combat cravings. Go for a walk, clean the kitchen, or do some yoga. You might also try to control your impulses by squeezing a stress ball or chewing gum whe...more
