You took a very good decision to quit smoking. It is a harmful habit & do not have any beneficial effect on the body. Smoking for long may affect the upper respiratory tract & lungs, causing many problems like throat irritation & infection, chronic cough, COPD, Chronic bronchitis etc. As you are having chest pain better get yourself evaluated by a physician to rule out any affect in your chest & lungs by smoking.

If you are an occasional smoker - with public messages, health awareness programs and your own doctors advice, you can quit. if you are a regular smoker, motivational therapy with a trained psychotherapist or a psychiatrist and enormous will power will help you quit. If you are a Diseased Smoker, Consult a Deaddiction Psychiatrist at the earliest. he may give you anti-smoking medications and deaddiction treatment

Dear Gaurav,
You need to be appreciated for your decision to quit smoking. You have withdrawal symptoms as headache. Keep on motivating yourself to quit by smoking half cigarette and postponing the urge to smoke by few minutes. It will help you to reduce headache and also no smoking. Though headache goes away in few weeks, the cravings will continue for few months. Make a family member or friend to appreciate your effort to fight the craving
