Please stop metaglez. Reduce salt intake. Keep blood sugar and bp under control. This action may tend to reduce serum creatinine level. To control sugar, please consult a good diabetologist.

Hi lybrate-user, you have not mentioned your glycemic status (hba1c) ,so status on your glycemic control can't be commented. Urine for microalbuminuria tell about failure of your kidney to retain small protein and not let them lost. Remember 1st thing is good glycemic control.
2nd hypertension to be rulled out.in case of hypertension ,special category of drug arb / ace-i be initiated but only after evaluation by your physician. I suggest you to consult your diabetologist.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
From the details given it is clear that your father has a serious kidney problem. He needs urgent hospitalisation and dialysis. At such high levels of creatinine and and urea, he needs to be put on only insulin. Oral drug needs to be discontinued. It is better to follow the advice given by the treating physician. Adding any further drug or drugs is dangerous. Thanks.

Creatinine of 1.12 is acceptable for your age otherwise. However if it was lower earlier and recently it has increased then we need to find out the cause. There are no medicines as such to control it or bring it down. If you have blood pressure keep it in control.
