Hi lybrate-user
the treatment of varicose vein is surgery
unfortunately there aint any medication as such. The salves or ointments practically does not help
for milder degrees of varicosty stockinettes or sclerotherapy both may suffice.
Hope your doctor has discussed all this with you.

Medication has limited role in varicose vein, so other management like limb elevation, wearing stockings have greater role to play also if you have started having pain for vericose vein. So you must rule out the venous thrombosis.
